general fitness services inc., is a southern maine based company specializing in fitness equipment maintenance and repair. equipment evaluation, fitness center layout, equipment reupholstery, equipment relocation and reconditioned equipment sales are some additional services offered by general fitness.
service contracts
equipment maintenance and repair are the primary services supplied to our customers. different clients require a variety of services as well as frequency of service. listed below are several scheduled preventative maintenance options offered by g.f.s.
- monthly preventative maintenance service visits (12 visits)
- semi-monthly preventative maintenance service visits (6 visits)
- quarterly preventative service visits (4 visits)
- bi-annual service visits (2 visits)
- on call service and repair*
*on call service and repair billed at $46.00 per hour travel and labor.
purchase reconditioned equipment

general fitness only reconditions and sells commercial quality equipment. all equipment is given a full service and thorough safety inspection. all equipment sold carries a parts and labor warranty, (6 to 12 months, depending on the type and age of the piece). treadmills, elliptical, lifecycles, rowers and stairmasters are cardiovascular pieces that are sold on a regular basis. strength equipment is also available on occasion (bodymaster, cybex, maxicam, nautilus and icarian).
